After School for Parents

Welcome to the After School for Parents section of The Schoolmaster. What a tough road today's young people have, and what a difficult time parents may have in finding resources to help them learn how to manuever their kids through landmines that lay in wait for them.

This section of The Schoolmaster is dedicated to parents who are trying to raise their children but yet have to deal with landmines their children face such as drinking, drugs, premarital sex, music, advertising and marketing, television, peer pressure, etc.

Please check out the following links if you're looking for help and answers in raising your kids in today's world. But most of all, remember the verse that says ... train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it ... Proverbs 22:6.

Remember too who you're really fighting ... for we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, and against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places ... Eph 6:12.

And one more thing ... remember the equipment God gave you to fight your battle with ... take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. So, gird your waist with truth, put on the breastplate of righteousness, and shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, take the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one, and the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit ... Eph 6:13-18.
