Capstone Class

Within educational institutions, the Capstone Class pulls together all of the knowledge and concepts students have learned in other classes into one final class.

Here at The Schoolmaster, the Capstone Class will be somewhat different. Rather than an additional class, this class will provide an overview of all the other classes, combining and highlighting the key points of each class.

Let's get started!

Math and Science

  1. The probablility of each person dying is 1 to 1 (there is no doubt that you will die at some point in time).
  2. God's Word says that it is appointed to each person to die and then the judgment ... Heb 9:27.
  3. Everything is made from atoms, which are not visible.
  4. God's Word says that the things which are seen were not made from things which are visible ... Heb 11:3.

  2. God's Word says sin is trangression of the law ... 1 John 3:4.
  3. The third commandment says you shall not take God's name in vain.
  4. Have you ever taken God's name in vain? Probably so.
  5. The eighth commandment says you shall not steal.
  6. Have you ever stolen something, even if it's something minor? Most people have.
  7. The ninth commandment says you shall not lie.
  8. Have you ever lied? Who hasn't?
  9. Who do you know who hasn't broken at least two of the three commandments we've just reviewed? No one.
  10. How do you feel when someone lies to you, or steals something that belongs to you, your family, or a friend, or what if they took your mother or father's name in vain? Does it make you mad? Sure it does!
  11. God's Word says that whoever is guilty of breaking even one of the laws is guilty of breaking them all.
  12. God is holy and righteous and will judge everybody.
  13. If you had to stand before God to be judged on these three commandments alone, would you be innocent or guilty?
  14. Would you go to heaven or hell?

Sociology

  1. Adam and Eve were God's first human creations, and they lived in the Garden of Eden with God walking and talking with them.
  2. The only restriction God placed on them was not to eat the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil.
  3. Satan came to Eve and deceived her into eating the fruit, saying she would become like God. She then took the fruit for Adam to eat, which he did.
  4. It was after this act of disobedience that Adam and Eve realized they were naked and they hid from God.
  5. As a result of Adam and Eve's disobedience to God's command not to eat from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, the first shedding of blood to cover sin occured when God killed an animal to make covernings for Adam and Eve's nakedness.
  6. Because of Adam and Eve's act of rebellion against God, all of their descendants inherited a sin nature. God says that everybody has sinned ... Rom 3:23.
  7. As a result of this sin nature, we all stand guilty before a holy and righteous God
  8. Although we like to think we're a good person, God's Word says that no one is good except God Himself ... Mark 10:18, Rom 3:10-11.
  9. To reconcile mankind to Himself, God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross for us and shed His blood for remission of our sins.
  10. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever would believe in Him would not perish but would have everlasting life ... John 3:16.
  11. Jesus says that He is the way, the truth, and the life, no man comes unto the Father except through Him ... John 14:6.
  12. God demonstrated His love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us ... Rom 5:8.
  13. God made Jesus, who knew no sin to become sin for us, so that we might become the righteouness of God ... 2 Cor 5:21.
  14. Remember, the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ ... Rom 6:23.
